Three day Quraan Pravachan Programme at Vidyanagar locality of Gulbarga

The message of Qur`aan is for all. The Muslims who believe that it is the guidance from the Almighty Allah to the whole of humanity have the responsibility to propagate its message to all human beings whether they belong to any community, cast, creed, religion, region, speaking any language. It is the duty imposed upon them from the Almighty Allah in the Qur`aan itself. With this very objective The Jamaat e Islami Hind, Gulbarga has been organizing Qur`aan Pravachan prgrammes in the city of Gulbarga. One such prgramme was organized in Vidyanagar locality at the residence of Jb Mushtaq Hussain from 9th to 11 th July 2010.

The basic teachings of Qur`aan viz Unity of Go(Tawheed), The Prophethoos(Risaalat) and The Life after death (Akhirat) were covered on each day from 8.00pm to 9.00pm.

On the first day preaching Qur`aan selecting verses from Chapter 2:255 Jb Abdul Qader said that one should pray and obey the commandments of the creator. It is disgrace on the part of human beings to bow in front of their created gods. Allah is the one who gave life to the universe and as well as to all human beings. He ic the one who is nourishing us he is the one who has made arrangements for the guidance of the whole of humanity towards the right path.

On the second day Jb Mohammed Ziaullah, President, Jamaat e Islami Hind, Gulbarga delivered lesson on Qur`aan on the topic “The Prophethood”. Speaking on the Verses from Chapter 6: 48 to 51, he said, it is the duty of the Almighty, who has made all beautiful arrangements in the world for the survival of human beings well before he came into existence, to make arrangements there guidance also. This requirement was fulfilled by him by sending Prophets to the world right from the beginning of the world. The very first human being Adam (Hazrat Adam Alihi ssalam) was the first prophet. From than onwards about 1,24,000 prophets came to the earth at different ages, different places and to different communities to bring an awareness among the people about their creator, their relationship with him and the ways to show obedience to him and the thongs which the Almighty does not like. Now it is the duty of the people to recognize the true prophets based on their teachings and their high moral character. There will be only one choice before the people when a Prophet is sent to them, either accept his teaching and follow his path to succeed in the world and the world here after or reject his message and lead as per has whims & wishes. For such people there will be sufferings in the world and will be part of hell in the life after death.

On the third day of the programme delivering the lesson selecting the verses 5 to 7 from the chapter Haj, Jb Mohammed Ziaullah said, every human being borne has to die, It is a truth which can not be denied. The Quran says “ He Who created Death And Life, that He May try which of you is best in deed”. There comes a day when we all human beings are ordered to awake from their burials so that they are assembled in the court of the Almighty. Their deeds will be balanced and based on deeds they will be rewarded. Those who identified their Lord in the world and lead their life as per the teachings of the guidance of Allah as shown by their prophets will be awarded with Janna. And those disobedient who did not heeded to the warnings of the prophets are sent to the fore of hell where they remain for ever.

The three day Programme was attended by the educated people from the locality including some of the intellectuals and college going students. They opined that such programmes are very much required to remove misconceptions among different communalities.

Students Islamic Organization, Gulbarga in co-ordination with Jamaat e Islami Hind Gulbarga conducted an Educational Survey to bring an awareness among the poor people about the importance of education and also to know the drop outs of students who could not continue their education due to financial constrains faced by their parents.
During the survey 208 families from the slums of Mominpura, Khalai Galli, Sangtrashwadi baada and Omer colony beside the ring road were covered. The income of these families from all sources is not more than Rs 4500.00 per month. The survey identified that there are 958 children school going age. Of these 214 children between the age group of 1st to 10th standard could not pursue their education mainly because of financial problems in the family. SIO has identified 30 among them based on pupil interest in continuing with education, their parents interest in sending them to school and the educational performance of pupils, to facilitate in continuing their education.
One important fact which came out from the survey was that there are only four people who could complete their graduation in these localities. This indicates that many people discontinue their education in mid way. Therefore, there should be some mechanism to indentify talented children from these localilities and some wealthy people should adopt such children with better IQ so that their intellect can be better utilized for the services of the community and the nation as well.
