Two day Gulbarga Region Cadre Conference

Muslims not only initiated the first war of independence in 1857 but also sacrificed their lives in large numbers. Nearly 60,000 Islamic scholars (ulema) were hanged by the British, most of them on the high ways. The participation of Muslims in general and the Islamic scholars in particular was not only for the independence of the country but also to safeguard Islam and establish the truth. These were the words expressed by JB Mohammed Atharullah Sharief while addressing at the inaugural session of the 2 day Jamaat Islami Hind Gulbarga Regions cadre meet in Gulbarga on Saturday the 22nd March 2014.

The Islamic movement was actually founded by none other than Prophet Muhammad pbuh and the objective was to establish the rule of the Almighty. Later the struggle to establish deen (rule of the Almighty) was undertaken by many at different stages and in different parts of the world.

Mr Atharullah Sharief said, after the establishment of communism in Russia, many Indians were influenced by the revolution. And many Muslims who didn’t had the true knowledge & teachings of Islam and had considered it to be religion of rituals also got yielded to communism. Moulana Syed Abu Aala Moududi, he said, came out with strong literature which conveyed the true spirit and message of Islam, which not only speaks about the success hereafter but also success in this world also, which influenced intellectuals and the likeminded people came together to for Jamaat e Islami.

After the independence Moulana Abu Lais Islahi took over leadership of Jamaat e Islami hInd in India and the struggle for the establishment of deen resumed. In initial days of partition, due to the eruption communal violence, most of its energies had to be spent for relief work and the actual work of spreading the ideological message hampered. In the later years when the things were becoming normal, Jamaat addressed the country men both Muslims and non Muslims alike with its message of divine guidance.

The two day workers conference started with Quranic discourse of jb Syed Sajid Saleem. He called upon the participants to put their energies for the cause for which you are chosen. That is to establish deen. For this he said you have to develop those qualities as enshrined in Quran.

JB Mohammed Yousuf Kanni, Regional Organizer, JIH Gulbarga Region, said, it is an era of spreading false teachings of Islam, Prophet Muhammed pbuh and Islam so that doubt is created among the masses. Under these circumstances, the cadre of Jamaat has to understand their responsibility and remove the misconcepts in the mind of people.

A symposium on the Constitution of Jamaat e Islami Hind was held. Which was presided by jb Liaqat Hussain Mulla, Hubli. Jb Moulan Abdul Qader Jamyee Moratgi, Hafiz Kalimulla, Humnabad, Syed Tanvir Hashmi Gulbarga, Hafiz Taha Kaleem Bidar and Mahboob Ali Balganur Bagewadi respectively spoke on Creed, objective, Methodology, Structure and policy and program of JIH.

Moulvi Mohammed Faheemuddin spoke on “That exemplary group” in which he highlighted the lives of the companions of Prophet pbuh.
The second day of the training program was started immediately after Namaz e Fajar in which all the participants were divided into 10 groups and were given different Quranic chapters for group study.

Jb S. Ameen ul Hasan, Member Central Advisory Council, JIH spoke on “Punished people”. Speaking on the topic in the light of Quran, he said, the people followers of the Prophets before Prophet Ibrahim were punished for their disobediences to the Almighty even after they were warned by their Prophets. They include the people of Nooh(a), Hood(a), Saleh(a) and Loot(a). They were punished with natural calamities like earthquakes, floods, rains etc.

The people of the period of Shoeb(a) were involved corrupt practices. The Firon during the period of Moosah(a) had become a dictator and divided the people. The people during the period of Eisa(a) were guilty of killing their Prophets. Thus they were punished.
Speaking on the philosophy of rise and fall of nations, he said Allah SWT likes only pious people. He makes some nations to command over the other, he gives the administrative powers to only those who have the ability to do so, and only those who have better morality are preferred, the nations are tested with number of hurdles and difficulties before they are given the power to rule. He said, the communities are judged in this world only where individuals are judged in the hereafter.

Jb Syed Abdul Haseeb, member State Advisory Council JIH Karnataka highlighted on the life and achievement of Choudhary Ali Ahmed. Jb M.P.Basheer Ahmed, State Secreatary, JIH Karnataka spoke on “the importance of training to the cadre of Jamaat and its methodlogy”.

Veteran Orthopaedist of the city, Dr. B C Patil, Professor at Basaveswar Hospital, was felicitated recently by Jamat e Islami Hind Gulbarga for his selfless services. The doctor, who is known for his ability to cope with the challenging surgeries in the city, has also been a doctor of kind- heartedness, especially towards the poor. Along with his contribution  towards the downtrodden meritorious students, some of whom he has been adopting to give higher education, he has been extending his services, many a times free of cost, in the medical field to the poor section of the society over the years.

Identifying his services at Killari, Gujrat, where he had risked his life to serve the earthquake hit people as a doctor during the 90s, an NGO the Humanitarian Relief Society formed by Jamaat e Islami Hind Karnataka, had invited him to deliver a lecture on Disaster Management. Impressed by his talk and erudition on orthopedics, the Social Service Unit of the Jamaat e Islami Hind Gulbarga took a poor patient, by name Syed Iqbal, for his advice to operate his left thigh, to remove the remaining beads used to join his broken bone 4 years ago by another surgeon which had almost made him limb with much pain and puss oozing out. Commending the services of the Jamaat the humane doctor, a quintessence of communal harmony, offered to conduct surgery by himself, free of cost. In these days where free operations are sour grapes for the poor, the doctor’s assurance of a costly operation astonished the people who had approached him.
Though being tightly scheduled, the doctor kept his words. The much challenging operation took place at the Basaveswar Hospital recently where 4 beads were removed successfully to the respite of the poor patient.
Zakir Hussain , The President of Jamaat e Islami Hind, Gulbarga, Abdul Qader the Zonal Leader, Humanitarian Relief Society, Md Naseeruddin, the Secretary of Social Service Unit of the JIH commended Dr. Patil for his selfless service towards humanity. They also extended their regards to Mr. Muneer of Tippu Sultan Hospital for introducing Dr. Patil.

Muslim Umma should perform the duty of calling the people to Righteous path

Brotherhood, unity and togetherness are the prime requirements and the Umma overcoming its all differences should perform the bound duty of calling people towards deen, the righteous path. These were the words expressed by Jb Zakir Hussain, President, Jamaat e Islami Hind, Gulbarga while delivering the concluding address at a day Long Conference at Al-Falah Function Hall, Islamabad Colony, Gulbarga on Sunday the 26th February 2014. He called upon the people to serve humanity along with performing the duties of the Almighty Allah. He especially called upon the youth to emulate Islamic character.

Delivering the special address JB Syed Abdul Haseeb, Hubli, member State Advisory Council, JIH Karnataka said, the message of all the prophets was same that is to establish deen and obey to the commandments of the almighty.   And the same duty is transferred to the Umma, the muslim community after Prophet Muhammed PBUH, as no prophet is being sent now. He said, our country has similar idealogy and culture as was found in Makka and Arabia, when Prophet Muhammed pbuh started to convey the message of Allah. He said with the Islamic thought & ideology we can bring in a desirable change here.

The program was started with the Quranic verses. Delivering the lesson from the Chaper Al Haj 77-78, Jb Mohammed Yousuf Khan, called upon the participants to regularly offer Namaz, obey the commandments, do good to please Allah to get the virtual success. He said Allah SWT has called upon the believer to struggle for the establishment of deen for this cause only it has been created. Thus it is the greatest responsibility we have on our shoulders.

Speaking on the topic “Government: source of Good & Bad” Jb Mohammed Mazharuddin said, it is because of the policies and ideology of the people in Government, all the bad things like licensing of bars and flesh trade, establishment of interest based banks, etc which are harmful to the society, are being promoted. Instead should the Islamic ideology is promoted, and the people in government are bound by the fear of Allah and feel accountable before the almighty, the state will be a welfare state where in every one rights are assured and there will be peace in the society.

Speaking on “Organization, its place & Importance in Islam”, Jb Syec Sajid Saleem, said that its clear from the teachings of Quran and Prophet Muhammed pbuh, a Muslim should not lead a life of an Individual but should be associated with organization (Ijtemayiyath) as one becomes a pray to the Satan (Shiatan), if left alone. The Namaz, Roza, Zakat & Haj teach us to laed a life collectively.  Even if 3 person go on a tour, Islam advises it believers to make a team with one among them as its leader. Similarly to meet the requirements of Deen one has to lead the life collectiveness.

Giving a presentation on Power Point on the topic “ Aqamate Deen, meaning & methodology”  Jb Mohammed Ziaulla, said explained the meaning of Aqamat & deen. Aqaamt he said to make it perfect and the deen means the way of life as propogated by Almighty in Quran and as taught by the last messenger Prophet Muhammed pbuh. And it is the duty of Umma to put all its energies to establish this deen on the nations where they live.

Jb Mohammed Abdul Qader gave Dars e Hadees on “Thought of Life after death”, He said its one of prime beliefs in Islam that one after death is brought in front of the Almighty for the accountability of the deeds he/she has done in the world. He explained with many examples how the Companions of Prophet pbuh were worried of the Day of Judgment.

Jb Syed Tanvir Hashmi spoke on “Elections & our responsibility. He said we mean the responsibility of Umma. He said first of all we should know that the Almighty has created us for a purpose. That is to establish peace. And our every act shoud be towards establishment of peace. Similarly even in election our efforts should be towards establishing good government. So that the law and order is established, rights of the people are saved, and no citizen is deprived of his/her rights and able to lead a just life. Apart from this, if Umma cannot fights for any cause.

Jb Mohammed Iqbal Ali while delivering the inaugural address in the morning after Quranic discourse explained the importance of organizing such conferences and also explained about the activities of Jamaat e Islami Hind.
