Respecting children is must in building their personality

Children on the one side are the best of the gifts from the almighty, and at the same time are the difficult trials for them. With the best of care and training they can become the means of rewards from the almighty, if not they may become a nuisance and harassment for the parents. These were the words expressed by Khalid Parwaz, member, State Advisory Council, Board of Islamic Education, Karnataka, while addressing the parents at International School, Gulbarga on Saturday the 26^th November, 2016.  The up bringing of the children can only be possible if the due care is given to their dignity and honour. One should not impose decisions on children, while guiding the children; they should be enlightened about good and bad about certain things. Parent should always welcome their children to come with better ideas and suggestions. By doing so, they will be encouraging to take decisions on their own, which will help them in building their personality. Khalid Parwaz said, parents should become best of facilitators to their children instead of finding faults with them. Scolding and finding faults will make the children to hate their parents, he said. It always advisable to parents to carefully listen to their children, encourage them to do good things, give a pat for doing every bit of good things. Khalid Parwaz advised the parents to create an atmosphere conducive to learning at home. Noise, disturbance and playing of TV at home will hinder the interest in learning. To inculcate values, good deeds and build better personality, parents should provide them literature along with academic requirements. And it is also important that the parents should have combined study with them. The Program was attended by considerable number of parents along the Head Miss and other teaching staff of the school. 

You are the Best People; Nations wellbeing is your responsibility

The Holy Quran declares Muslims to be “Khair e Umma”, you are the best of the people, created for the well being of the people. This responsibility is to be carried out by Muslim Umma in the country. These were the words expressed by Jb Abdul Jabbar Siddiquie, while delivering the Concluding Address at the before the end of a daylong City Conference organized by Jamaat e Islami Hind, Gulbarga at Saba Function Hall, on Sunday the 20^th November, 2016. He said, Muslims are honored by the almighty with the divine guidance, through which not only their lives but the lives of the country men can be changed. Thereby society based on welfare principles can be evolved. Unfortunately, Musims, either have forgotten this honor or their responsibility. Jamaat e Islami Hind reminds this responsibility to the Umma that, Muslims instead of demanding their rights, should 

become the guiders of the country for which they have been created.

Earlier, in the morning session, speaking on “Muslim Personal Law & Challenged before it” he said, every effort is been made in the nation to interfere in the Muslim Personnel law by the self interested people.  Tripple Talaaq, Qula, Halaa, Polygamy, are being targeted in the name of giving the rights to Muslim Women, which according to them they are deprived off. He said, the fact is that Islam has not only given the Women their rights but has made every provision to protect them, and that we hardly find in any other forms of social/religious systems.

The Program was started with Quranic Discourse on Chapter Al-rum verse 21 by Jb Zakir Hussain, President, JIH Gulbarga. He said, Allah SWT has created mates for you from your own kind, so that you may find peace in them. He said in fact these are the signs of Allah to you.

Speaking on the topic “Importance of Nikah in Islam”, Jb Mohammed Yousuf Khan, Dist Organizer, JIH Gulbarga said, Islam is the liked way of life in the sight of Allah SWT, as it is with the nature of human beings, which guides in all the aspects of human lives. Islam wants a righteous society free from all sorts of evil. For this it propagates men and women to satisfy their sexual urge only through the bonds of Nikah, instead of going on free will. Therefore, it considers Nikah to be a form of worship. It dislikes men & women to live alone without getting married. Quoting Prophet Muhammed pbuh’s sayings, he said,   Prophet Muhammed pbuh’s he is not amongst us who doesn’t follow our path. He said, all the righteous people in the history of mankind and all the Prophets lead married life.

Jb Syed Sajis Saleem, Member Local Advisory Council, JIH Gulbarga, spoke on “etiquettes of Talaaq & Qula”. He said, Islam do not bind men and women to live together even if there is huge conflict between them. Therefore it gives way for separation in the form of Talaaq & Qula. He said among all halaal things propagated by Allah, the most dislked one is Talaaq.  Therefore it should be exercised only when relations cross limits, that it no more possible to live together. And should be enacted in the manner it has been guided. Explaining the procedure of Giving Talaaq he said, It is the Husbands responsibility to guide his wife in accordance to Quran and Sunna for happy life. If she is persistent, some punishment may be exercised, and then her bed may be separated. With all these matters are not getting settled, an elderly & pious person from both husband and wife may be invited to settle the issue. Even after all these efforts the relations are still strained, Husband can pronounce Talaaq when his wife is not in periods and they have not mated. Then they should wait for the prescribed period of the monthly periods of women (wife). During this period, they can rejoin. Once this period is exhausted, they will not remain as husband & wife. However, they can rejoin by performing new Nikah. He Said this process can be continued upto three times. But after third Talaaq, there will be no chance for reunion. He said, by pronouncing Three Taqal, Talaaq get legalizes, but it is the most unliked method of getting separated by prophet Muhammed pbuh.

The afternoons Session was started with Hadees discourse on “Family Life of Porphet Muhammed pbuh” delivered by Jb Mohammed Azmatllah Khan. He enlightened the audience with different modes of prophet Muhammed pbuh when he is at home along with his family. He said Prophet always maintained balance between different wives. He helped them in their work. He was never harsh on them, Even his servants never have complained of his aggression in the long tenure that they stayed with him.

Speaking on “Distribution of Patrimony” Jb Syed Tanveer Hashmi said, the matter of distribution of left over arises only when a person dies. This is called Virasat. The distribution of a property never arises when a person is alive. Islam clearly guides how the left over is distributed, to whom and in what proportion. Explaining the procedures, he when a person dies, first thing required to be done from his left over property is to make arrangements for his cremation. After that, it has to be analyzed whether he has any loans, if so, they are to be repaid. Then, if he has made any will, that will should be fulfilled. Here, a care has to be taken that, no one can make will for more than one third of his property. If a died person has made will of more than one third, that cannot be fulfilled. Then the property should be distributed among the kiths and kin’s in proportion as mentioned in Quran. Tanveer Hshmi said, these are the duties which are to be performed. If not, they will be permanently pushed to hell.

Dr. Mohammed Habeeb ur Rahman, Member, JIH Gulabrga spoke on “Rights of Husband & Wife” He said, Quran prescribes similar rights for women as they are for men. But it says, Men have an upper hand over women, for that, they physically stronger and that they take care of their wives requirement. “The Mehr” is the right of wife. He said it is the sole responsibility of a husband to meet all the righteous demands of his wife. He said, husband and wife should lead their life in accordance with set standards of life which Quran prescribes as “Maroof”. Speaking on the duties of a Wife, he said, she should be obedient to Allah swt and her husband, she should safeguard her sanctity, protect the property and children of her husband. Due to lack of awareness of rights and duties of husband & wife, wisdom behind them, problems arising in our families. Therefore we should not only go by rights in legal way, but look beyond the rights, in the form of indebtedness, gratitude etc.

Jb Mohammed Mazharuddin, Organizer, Section Islamic Society, JIH Gulbarga, delivering inaugural address explained the need to organize such a program under the present scenario of interference in Muslim Personal Law in the country, to make Muslim Umma to know their rights given by their religion.

Maktab Started at Masjid e Hidayath Center

The Personality of an individual starts building at the very young age. This is the age where in pupil learn the etiquettes of life. The modern educations is failing to build character in children. Under there circumstances to build characters in the up bringing children every care must be taken by parents as well as the society.

With the objectives of inculcating Islamic character in the children Masjid e Hidayath Center, Gulbarga started Evening classes for children. The School was inaugurated by Moulana Najmuddin Hussain Umari, Regional Organizer, Jamaat e Islami Hind, Raichur Region today (Sunday 16.10.2016) at Masjid e Hidayath Center. Jb Zakir Hussain, President, Jamaat e Islami Hind, Gulbarga delivering inaugural address felt the need of such school where children learn the Basic of Universal teachings of Islam.

Be helpers of Allah: GIO

Gulbarga: “Koonu Ansarullah-Be helpers of Allah” is the theme around which we should struggle on the way to pleasing Allah SWT. The Struggle in the way of Allah, should not be according to our whims and wills, but should be according to Quran and Sunnah, which are established and proven methods to please Allah SWT. There were the words expressed by Jb Mohammed Atherullah Sharief, Chief Patron, Girls Islamic Organization, Karnataka and State President, Jamaat e Islami Hind, Karnataka as concluding remarks while addressing the GIO Cadre at Hidayath Center, Kalaburagi on Sunday the 25^th September, 2016.

He said, the evil forces are well organized and are utilizing all resources to spread the evil in the world. To counter this menace, the Good should also be well organized using all its resources justly. The Nudity is being promoted as culture, it has become multi-million business, and the modern media is utilized to propagate it. Such evils cannot be countered unless we strictly follow the principles of Islam. Jb Atherullah said, Allah is pleased with those who strive in the way of Allah collectively and exhibit supreme model of collectiveness. Explaining about the efforts being put forth by evil to destabilize Allah’s light (guidance) in the words of Quran, he said, Allah’s light is here to get established, however, strong efforts they put in. Today, he said, people are getting impressed with the true message of Islam. Our duty is to convey its message to their hearts. He called upon the cadre to remember that Organization is not important, but to strive for the establishment of Good and to please Allah SWT, one should lead collective life and thus should be associated with such organizations. Without Collective life, the Deen is not complete, he said.

Miss. Navida Hussain Asadi, State General Secretary, GIO Karnataka, delivering the Concluding address said, We are accountable for all those who are subordinate to us and Instead of commenting on others we should concentrate on our deeds. She said, for effective & better results we should work collectively as team. For maintaining continuity in works, leadership should be evolved at every level so that vacuum is not created and the works are hampered. For an organization to prosper it should have strong and able leadership, there should be strong bonds for brotherhood among its cadre, all cadre work as team to achieve the desired results. She called upon the cadre to make their programs effective so that the new generation is motivated and get associated with it for their betterment and for the cause of Allah.

Girls Islamic Organization Karnataka organized a two day cadre convention  for the selected cadre from the districts of Hyderabad-Karnataka & Bombay-Karnataka region comprising the districts of Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, Bijapur, Bagalkote, Belaguam, Gadag and Dharawad on 24^TH & 25^th September at Hidayath Center, Kalaburagi.

On the First day (24.09.2016), in the Inaugural Session, following programs were held. It was inaugurated by Jb Mohammed Atherullah Sharief, Chief Patron, GIO Karnataka. The Speeches on “Purpose of Life & Requisites”, “Islamic Movements, significance and relevance” and “Current situation of Nation and the role of GIO” were delivered by Mrs. Sabiha Patel, Ex Gen-Secretary, GIO Karnataka, Dr Mohammed Habeeb ur Rahman and Mohammed Ziaullah, Members JIH respectively.

Panel discussion on “Organizational Heath”, and “Islmaic Discourses on Women” and a program on “Study of Tahreeki personalities-Apa Hameeda Begam, Zainab ul Gazali and Dr. Fauzia Sultana” were held in the afternoon session.

In the evening session, Topics “How to make GIO a need for the young women”, “Prominent women leaders of our time” and Exemplary women companion of the Prophet” were discussed by Miss. Navida Hussain Asadi, Ms. Nabeela Alams.

Quranic Study Circle on Chapter Tawba verses 38-41 were held after Namaz e Fajr of the second day of the program. Mrs Tasneem Fatima of Kalabuargi conducted the program and all the participants were involved in the discussion to learn the message of Quran in the selected verses taken as a group study.

Jb Syed Tanveer Ahmed, State Advisory Council Member, JIH Karnataka spread light on two important topics “Personality Development” Self planning for this world and Hereafter” and “Tazkia of Mind, Heart and Deeds: Why & How” in the first session of second day.

A symposium on “Opportunities & Threats in Campuses for our Mission” was held, which was presided by the Chief Patron Jb Mohammed Atherullah Shareif. In which four Members participated.

In the concluding session a speech on “Contemporary Movements among young women” was delivered by Mohammed Ziaullah, Member, JIH. An open session for question and answers was held before concluding addresses.

Street Play on Peace & Humanity

"Samvedana" team from Udupi exhibited street play in the city of Kalaburagi on the methodology adapted by certain self interested people to divide people on the bases of religion and cast for petty political gains. The team comprised of 9 youths won the heart of the audience present by presenting the truth prevailing in the society to dismantle the social fabric of love and affection among the different communities.

The play was exhibited at Central Bus Stand, SVP Circle, Jagath Circle and City Bus Stand at Super Market. Huge people gathered to see the unique play.

The "Samvedana" has been travelling all through the state with the message of binding the people on the bases of humans as part of the on going Nationwide Campaign "Peace & Humanity"

Time to dismantle the wall of hatredness: W Saeedi

Gulbarga: Concerted efforts are being made in the country to create an environment of hatredness. This is being carried out by those who didn’t play any role in the struggle for country’s independence said Moulana Valiullah Sayeedi Falahi, National Secretary, Jamaat e Islami Hind, He was presiding a symposium on “Respect Humanity, Ensure Peace” at Sir M Vishveshwaraiah Bhavan in Kalaburagi  On Thursday the 1^st September, 2016 as part of its Nationwide Campaign on “Peace & Humanity”.

He further said, the majority of the country is in favour of peace & Harmony. This testimony to the fact the right from the beginning people from all faiths and communities all through the country has extended full support to this campaign with vigor and enthusiasm. This is the time to dismantle the wall of hate redness, as the people are enlightened now. The people should come forward to withhold the hands of hate mongering people and should say in voice that brother this is not the way.

Moulana said the fear of Only God Almighty and the respect for the rule of the land will ensure that the things will come to normal.

Dr Shaikh Shah Mohammed Afzaluddin Junaidi, Sajjada Nasheen of Dargah Hazrath Shaikh e Deccan Gulbarga addressing the gathering as a chief guest told that Islam is peace, and without peace there is no Islam. The Holy Book Quran and its messenger are the propagators of Peace. Islam is the religion which addresses the whole of humanity. This reality should be conveyed to one and all. The Concept of Jihad has been manipulated giving all the wrong meaning to it. Jihad he said is a very beautiful concept of continuous struggle to get rid of all the evil things from the self, family, society and the country as a whole. Dealing with the concept of Sufism, he said the word “Sufi” itself meant that one heart is so pure that he doesn’t have any ill feeling towards any of the creations. He called upon the people to inculcate characters of the River, the sun and the earth, which give everything they have to all people without any reservations.

Shri  Shri Shivanubhava Shivarudra Swami of Belimath Samsthana, Bangalore quoting duets from Urdu poetry winning the hearts of the audience said, Jamaat e Islami Hind has rightly felt the stimuli of masses of the country for peace and harmony, hence launched a nationwide campaign when hateredness was being spread everywhere. Quoting the incidents of the First War of independence in 1857, he said, people from all faiths from the country had elected Moghal’s last emperor as their leader for their struggle of independence, considering its importance without giving any thought on the bases of religion, casts etc. He also said that the Muslim and Hindu Kings never went on war against each other to propagate their religion, but their wars were purely for want of power.  He gave many incidents of Muslim emperors renovating temples, and awarding priests and other religious places as he said, they wanted harmony in the society. Unfortunately Swamy said, though it is 70 years since British left the country but, we are still being affected by the venom they had left behind. He said the history is being manipulated these days. This should be stopped. Speaking upon the turmoil in the Arab countries, he said it is nothing to do with Islam, If there were to be no oil resources there, the Gulf would have been peaceful.

Mr S.G.Sheelvant, State President, BAMCEF addressing the gathering said, Democracy and Barhmanvad cannot go together. We should raise our voice against those who are dividing the society based on casts and creed. Goutam Budha, he said was the first person in the country who had fought for the establishment of peace. For this cause he had to leave his palace and family. But this truth has not been mentioned in history. He said, It is unfortunate the Muslim consider every non-Muslim as Hindu which is not true. And also that our country is not Hindustan, it is Bharat or India. He made a mockery of the fact that, those people who constitute only 3% and are in minority, tell Muslims are in minority. He said Islam has given many good things to the people of the country. It has strived to remove the disparity of upper cast and lower cast as it is the religion of Equality.

Mr Maheboob Ali Balganur, Member JIH Bijapur speaking in Kannada expressed concern over the polluting atmosphere of peace in the country. He said there is direct correlation between peace and humanity. To establish peace once should inculcate human values of love, affection, sacrifice, patience. Speaking on the human values propagated by Islam, he said Islam teaches equality based on the fact that all the human beings are the creations of one Lord and the children of one parent.

The Program was commenced with the recitation of Holy verses from Quran by Moulana Mohammed Imran, Imam of Masjid e Hidayath Center and its Urdu translation. Mr Zulfeqar Ali read its Kannada translation. Mr Mohammed Yousuf Kanni, State Secretary, Jamaat e Islami Hind, Karnataka spoke about the circumstances in which the nationwide campaign was launched and its objectives. He said, the country is faced with numerous issues like poverty, that 35 Cr people still are not getting their full meals, 45 Cr people of illiterate. Unfortunately, certain self interested fascist forces are trying to divide the people in such a way that which leads to polarizations of communities. Which, he said, not a better way for the country.

Memorandum submitted to Kalaburagi DC

As part of the Nation wide Campaign on Peace & Humanity a memorandum was submitted to the Hon'ble President of India through the Deputy Commsioner of Kalaburagi.

In the memorandum, it has been demanded from the Hon'ble President to

1. All those accused of killings, arson, lynching, burning, inciting for violence and hate speeches should be immediately arrested and prosecuted by fast track courts.
2. The ministers, MPs and party office bearers, involved in hate speeches and provocative and threatening statements should be sacked from their positions of authority and should be dealt with in accordance with law.
3. Prevention of Communal Violence Bill should be immediately enacted.
4. Full compensation should be made and security should be provided to all victims of communal violence in the country. Security should also be provided to the individuals and families who are at risk of communal targeting or who have received threats.
5. Press Council of India, NBA and other relevant organisations should be directed to act on clear violation of established norms of journalistic ethics by certain newspapers and TV channels, in conducting media trials, propagating false and baseless allegations and tarnishing the image of certain targeted sections of the society.
6. Similarly, internet should be watched for communally provocative, abusive and venomous stuff and stringent action should be initiated against the individuals responsible under Information Technology Act.
7. Government should reach out to minority, Dalit and Adivasi groups and organisations and discuss with them the measures required to inculcate sense of security and well being in them and should immediately act accordingly.

And also appealed to him, as the custodian of the Indian Constitution, to urgently intervene to defuse the situation and prevail upon the Indian government and make it fulfill its constitutional responsibility of protecting the fundamental rights of People of India, without any discrimination.

Program in Dalit Mohallah

As a part of National Campaign on "Peace & Humanity" Jamaat e Islami Hind, Kalaburagi organized a program in a Dalit locality Gulla Baudi(Gulab Wadi) on Sunday the 28th August, 2016.

Multi Lingual Mushayera in Kalaburagi

Gulbarga: As part of the ongoing National Campaign on “Peace & Humanity” the Idara-e-Adab-e-Islami Gulbarga organized a Multi Lingual Mushayera on Sunday the 28th August, 2016 at Hidayath Center.

The Poets from presented their poems in Urdu, Kannada and Hindi.

Well Known Nationally acclaimed Poet (Shayer) from Gulbarga Jb Muhib Kousar, Presided over the Mushayera. All the poets presented their creations on the theme of the Campaign “Peace, Humanity, harmony, Brotherhood” and enlightened the National Character of the country of togetherness, which was well acknowledged by the well gathered gathering consisting of people from different faiths including women.

Prof (Rtd) Prabhu Khanapure, Mrs Parveen Sultana, Ph.D Scholar, Pream and Priyanka read their poems in Kannada.

Professor of Gulbarga University Prof Parima read her poem in Hindi.

Students Rallies for Peace & Humanity in Kalaburagi

Jamaat e Islami Hind Kalaburagi organized Students Rallies in different localities of City of Kalaburagi betwwen 23 and 28 August 2016 to convey the message of Peace & Humanity as part of its Nationwide Campaign. The Rallies were taken out with involving students from Faraan High School, International School, Gunj, Innovative School, Islamabad Colony, City School in Rahmatnagar, Aradhana School in Shahabzar, Sana School & Al-Ameen School in MSK Mills area.

The Rally from Faraan School covered the route of Muslim Chowk, Khuni Alawa, Sarafa Bazar.

Internationa School rally covered the main road of Gunj area.

Innovative school rally covered the interior locality of Islamabad Colony and its neighbourhood.

City School rally covered the Rahamatnagar area along with the main road of Old Jewargi Raod.

Aradhana School rally covered the area comprising of Shahabazar.

Sana School & Al-Ameen School from MSK mill covered the interiors of MSK Mills.

Lecture in Dr Ambedkar College

As part of the Nationwide campaign on "Peace & Humanity" a lecture was organized at Dr Ambedkar College in Kalaburagi. Mr Mohammed Abdul Qader, Member Local Advisory Council, JIH Gulbarga delivering the address on the topic stressed on the importance on love, affection among the compatriots for their well being as well as the  development of the country. Silence of Good People responsible for Volatile atmosphere in the country

The one who doesn’t want peace cannot be a Muslim, Islam is the religion of Peace and Humanity. Unfortunately it has been misrepresented and a lot of misunderstandings have been created about it. These were the words expressed by Dr. Mohammed Habeeb ur Rahman, Member, JIH Gulbarga, while presiding over an Inaugural Function of the Nationwide Campaign on “Peace & Humnaity” at Hidayath center on Sunday the 21^st August, 2016. He called upon the importance of inter faith understanding and that one should follow his own religion as per its teaching. One cannot find peace without following the path of religion.

Mr Zakir Hussain, while delivering the inaugural address, explained about the raising trend of insecurity among the different section of the society due the creation of an atmosphere of hatredness by certain self interested people in the country. Jamaat e Islami Hind feels that such trend is not in the interest of the development of the country and it should be reversed. Therefore he said, it has launched a Nationwide Campaign on “Peace & Humanity” from today the 21^st August 2016 to 4^th September 2016. Through the campaign, it is planned to reach out to people at the grass root level to convey the true message of brotherhood.

Islam preaches peace while Muslim practices peace. They want peace in every sphere of life. These were the words expressed by Molana Nazeer Ahmed Hashmi, President Safa Bait-ul-mal, Gulbarga. He said Quran preaches that the killing of an innocent person is like killing of a whole of humanity and saving a person life is like saving the whole of humanity.

Moulana Javid Aala Qasmi, Khateeb & Imam, Masjid e Mahebaus, Super Market, Gulbarga while addressing the gathering, said the world is in dire need of peace and everyone is in search of peace. Every effort is made from local to international level to find ways for peace. But they are unable to find it. Reason he said, was that we are finding all possible ways without looking for the divine guidance for establishing peace. He said Muslims had a great responsibility of preaching and putting forward the efforts to establish peace in the lives of the people as well as in the society, as they have the divine guidance in its original form in the form of Quran. Unfortunately, he said the Muslims have forgotten their duty, and hence the world is deprived of peace.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Prabhu Khanapure, a retired professor and a progressive writer, said without removing blind beliefs and un-touchability from the society, it cannot make progress. For this effort should be made at every home to teach values to the new generation. It is the duty of parents and the teachers to inculcate values in the children, and then only we can expect peace, humanity in the society.

Mr Benjamin Desouza, of Inter Religious Forum for Peace & Humanity from Bhalki, while addressing the gathering referring the booklet of the Campaign said that the evil is spreading in the society not because of bad people but it is because of silence of good people. He expressed the need for establishment of inter religious peace committees and forums for proper understandings between different faiths. He reviewed the experience of such forums in Bhalki and Gulbarga as well.

The program started with the Recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Moualan Mohammed Imran Baqavi, Mr Baba Saheb Hundekar read its Kannada translation. The program was anchored by Mr Fateh Ali. Press Conference on Nationwide Campaign on "Peace & Humanity"

A Press Conference was organized at Press Club of Kalaburagi on 20th August, 2016 on the eve of the nationwide Campaign on "Peace & Humanity" Addressed by Jb Mohmammed Ziaullah, Joint Convener of the Campaign in Kalaburgi expressed concern over the polluting communal situation in the country. It is time, he said the patriotic thinkers of the country to come forward to tackle this menace. He also explained in detail about the activities to be undertaken in the District during the campaign.

The nation is still in celebrative mood of our independence.  Usually all sections of the society come together on this occasion and remember the great souls who sacrificed their lives to make the country free. However, the spirit of togetherness which our elders possessed is shrinking these days. The beauty of unity in diversity is waning. Intolerance prejudices and violence is raising its ugly head. Propaganda, bashing, victimization and lynching are becoming order of the day.

As per the Home Ministry data tabled in the Lok Sabha, there has been a 17% rise in communal riots last year (2015) and 751 cases have been recorded in a single year alone. The data also shows that there is a marked escalation of such cases during elections. Accordingly, at the national level, most such cases were registered in 2013 (823 cases). The fire of communal hatred ignited for political motives is burning away the strong social fabric and destroying age-old societal norms and values of tolerance and brotherhood in our country.

Phenomenal change

Hitherto, communal riots were an urban phenomenon as all communal riots were either limited to the vicinity of cities or they first erupted in urban areas then spreading to the adjoining villages. After the riots when peace was restored people used to live together in harmony again. But now tension is no longer being limited to a temporary or stray incident; instead such universal, political, historical and ideological issues are being raked up that have far-reaching and long lasting impact. These misunderstandings cannot be easily done away with and create a permanent rift between the communities.

Socio-economic impact

A restless and socially divided society is never considered suitable for economic growth. If this disease becomes widespread, then foreign investments cease to flow in and even the country’s own investors begin to seek other investment opportunities abroad. Whatever economic activity continues is rendered profitless, businesses and industries suffer losses leading to economic depression, poverty and unemployment.

The way out

The first step in improving the situation is that we countrymen realize the gravity of the situation. Of course, the entire nation or the entire climate is not intolerant. However, if prompt notice is not taken, the pace at which the situation is worsening shows that the day is not far off when we would no longer deserve to feel proud of our claimed tolerance. Irrespective of our religious and political affiliation or inclination, we need to unite together to work against communalism on a broad social level.

In order to establish communal harmony, it is also required that influential leaders of all communities come forward. The village heads, intellectuals, journalists, social activists- they all need to understand the importance of this issue and give it its rightful place. Since all this is being done in the name of religion and by misusing it, religious leaders, scholars and spiritual leaders should also shoulder this responsibility.

Sincere consistent efforts

The most important thing in this regard is to establish a sincere, wide and continuous network of mutual communication at all possible levels between Hindu, Muslim and other religious and cultural groups. This system should be so strong and effective that it can readily counter and rectify false information and rumours spread via media, social media, and contain their spread. No matter what happens outside the country, there should be no danger to the social fabric at the locality, colony, apartment or village level.

We also want that media, social media and educational syllabus etc. should be under the scanner of our citizens and civil society. Irrespective of whoever is trying to poison the peaceful environment of the country, to whichever religion or sect he may belong, no matter how influential or politically connected he may be, the law should take strict notice of this and for this the society should help the government and also pressurize the government. We should counsel our youth, clear their minds and teach them to use social media responsibly.

Societal strength

The entire society should come together to oppose the tendency of taking the law in one’s own hands and stop it with all its might. Our country has proper laws and law enforcement agencies to handle them. The law should be allowed to take its own course and responsible citizens should assist in law enforcement. The best way to allow law to take its own course is to prevent mobs from taking the law in their hands. No group, political leader, journalist, newspaper or TV channel should be allowed to don the hat of the police, the judiciary and the hangman. We reiterate that the rule of law can be upheld only by the common and united efforts of all members of society.

In response to the currently prevailing alarming situation, it has been decided to launch a nation-wide campaign to convey the message of peace and humanity to all countrymen. Accordingly, the ‘Peace and Humanity Campaign’ from 21st August to 4th September 2016 is being observed. This is by no means a traditional awareness campaign; rather its goal is to bring about some firm and perceptible changes in society. While the objective of this campaign is also to appeal to the conscience of the country and rouse it, but beyond that our goal is to ensure the establishment of a string of institutions right from the community level to the local level and the promotion of necessary practices to help consistently counter this menace of communal hatred.

Handicapped Maheboob given Wheeled Chair

Maheboob, a vegetable vendor, who sells vegetables at Kanni Market of MSK MIlls in Gulbarga met with an accident while coming from Wadi by Train a few months ago. While alighting from slowly moving train on its way to Gulbarga from Wadi, hw got slipped and both of his leg came under the moving train. He lost both legs below the knee.

Jamaat e Islami Hind, Gulbarga came to his rescue in his treatment. And now he is fully recovered. To lead a respected lif with continuing his business he was in need of a wheeled chair. Jamaat gifted him with a wheel chair.

نبی کریم ﷺ انسانی تاریخ کی عظیم شخصیت ہیں۔ آپ کی تعلیمات آج بھی اتنی ہی اہمیت کی حامل ہیں جتنی آپ کی زندگی میں تھیں ۔ ان خیالات کو حیدرآباد کرناٹ چیمبر آف کامرس میں جماعت اسلامی ہند گلبرگہ کی جانب سے برادران وطن کے لئے’’انسانیت پر حضرت محمد ﷺ کے احسانات‘‘ عنوان پر منعقد ہ خصوصی پروگرام میں گلبرگہ سنٹرل ینورسٹی کے پروفیسر اپّوگیرے سوم شیکھر نے کیا۔ آپ نے کہا کہ آج عظیم شخصیات سے جذباتی لگاؤ سے زیادہ انکی تعلیمات پر عمل کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ مختلف مذاہب کے تقابلی مطالعہ کے ذریعہ آپسیغلط فہمیوں کو دور کیا جاسکتا ہے۔ آپ نے کہا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے عالمی برادری، انسانی مساوات کا درس دیا اور سروجنی نائڈو کے قول کو نقل کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ آپ ﷺ جمہوری نظام کو عملی طور پر جاری کرکے بتایا۔ سومشیکھر نے کہا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کے مطابق انسانو ں کواللہ کا تقویٰاختیار کرنے والے اور خدا سے بے خوف ہوکر من مانی زنگی گزارنے والے دو طبقوں میں تقسیم کیا۔ سینٹ میری چرچ کے فادر سنل اندرادے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ اسلام مرد وخواتین کو علم حاصل کرنے کی ترغیب دیتا ہے۔ اور گہرائی سے مطالعہ کی اہمیت واضیح کرتا ہے۔ اسلام نام ہی اپنے آپ کو اللہ کی مرضیات کے سامنے سپرد کرنا۔ اسلام توحید خالص کا درس دیتا ہے لیکن آج ہم میڈیا، مادہ پرستی و دیگر کو اپنا خدا بنا بیٹھے ہیں۔ آپ نے کہاکہ آپ ﷺ اپنی امانت داری، سچائی کے ذریعہ ایک بہترین نمونہ تمام انسانوں کے لئے پیش کیا ہے۔ آپ نے سوال کیا کہ مسلمان سب میں زیادہ ایک دوسرے کو سلامتی کی دعا کرتے ہیں کیا واقعی اپنی زندگی میں امن و آمان پاتے ہیں۔ آپ نے کہا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ صفائی کو بڑی اہمیت دی لیکن ہمارے ماحول میں آلودگی پائی جاتی ہے۔ حیدرآبا کرناٹک چیمبر آف کامرس گلبرگہ کے سابق صدر اُماکانت نگوڈگی خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ ایک عظیم رفارمر ہی نہیں بلکہ عظیم سائنسداں، فلاسفر، معیشت ومعاشرت کے ماہر تھے۔ آپ ﷺ کی تعلیمات سائنس پر مبنی ہیں۔ نماز جیسی عبادت سائنسی اعتبار سے بہت ہی مفید ہے۔ آپ ﷺ نے جہاں پر انسانی مساوات کا عملی طور پر نمونہ پیش کیا وہیں پر خواتین کے حقوق کو بھی واضحکیا۔ رادھا کرشنہ ایس رگھوجی، صدر حیدر آبار کرناٹ چیمبر آف کامرس نے کہا کہ دنیا کا وجود ہی بتاتا ہے کہ اس کا ایک خدا ہے۔ محمد اصحاق ، سیکریٹری، جماعت اسلامی ہند منگلور اپنے خطاب میں اسلام میں رسالت کا تصور پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ وہ اللہ کی طرف سے منتخب نمائندہ ہوتا ہے جو اپنی طرف سے کوئی بات نہیں پیش کرتا بلکہ جو بات بھی پیش کرتا ہے وہ وحی کی باتیں ہوتی ہیں۔ آپ نے کہا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ اللہ کے آخری نبی ہیں اور آپ ﷺ کی تعلیمات رہتی دنیا تک کے لئے ہیں۔ آپ ﷺ نے زندگی کے تمام گوشوں کے لئے جامعہ رہنمائی کی ہے اور آج بھی کسی انسان کو کامیابی کے لئے انہیں کے مطابق زندگی گزارنا ہوگا۔ آپ نے کہا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ خدا کا واضح تصور دیااور یہ زندگی ایک بامقصد زندگی ہے اور آخرت میں اس زندگی کے بارے میں پوچھ ہوگی۔ ذاکر حسین امیر مقامی جماعت اسلامی ہند گلبرگہ اپنے صدارتی خطاب میں تمام مہمانان کے خیالات کو سراہتے ہوئے نبی کریم ﷺ کی زندگی کا مطالیہ کرنے اور اس میں غور و فکر کرنے کی تمام لوگوں کو اپیل کی۔ محمد ضیاء اللہ افتتاحی کلمات پیش کئے۔ اجتماع کا آغاز معاز بن اقبال علی کی تلاوت قرآن مجید اور باباصاحب ہنڈیکر کی کنڑا ترجمانی سے ہوا۔ محمد عبدالقادر نے نظامت کے فرائض انجام دئے۔ برادران وطن کیاچھی خاصی تعداد اس پروگرام میں شریک رہی ۔
