Muslims not only initiated the first
war of independence in 1857 but also sacrificed their lives in large numbers.
Nearly 60,000 Islamic scholars (ulema) were hanged by the British, most of them
on the high ways. The participation of Muslims in general and the Islamic
scholars in particular was not only for the independence of the country but
also to safeguard Islam and establish the truth. These were the words expressed
by JB Mohammed Atharullah Sharief while addressing at the inaugural session of
the 2 day Jamaat Islami Hind Gulbarga Regions cadre meet in Gulbarga on
Saturday the 22nd March 2014.
The Islamic movement was actually
founded by none other than Prophet Muhammad pbuh and the objective was to
establish the rule of the Almighty. Later the struggle to establish deen (rule
of the Almighty) was undertaken by many at different stages and in different
parts of the world.
Mr Atharullah Sharief said, after the
establishment of communism in Russia, many Indians were influenced by the
revolution. And many Muslims who didn’t had the true knowledge & teachings
of Islam and had considered it to be religion of rituals also got yielded to
communism. Moulana Syed Abu Aala Moududi, he said, came out with strong
literature which conveyed the true spirit and message of Islam, which not only
speaks about the success hereafter but also success in this world also, which
influenced intellectuals and the likeminded people came together to for Jamaat
e Islami.
After the independence Moulana Abu
Lais Islahi took over leadership of Jamaat e Islami hInd in India and the struggle
for the establishment of deen resumed. In initial days of partition, due to the
eruption communal violence, most of its energies had to be spent for relief
work and the actual work of spreading the ideological message hampered. In the
later years when the things were becoming normal, Jamaat addressed the country
men both Muslims and non Muslims alike with its message of divine guidance.
The two day workers conference
started with Quranic discourse of jb Syed Sajid Saleem. He called upon the
participants to put their energies for the cause for which you are chosen. That
is to establish deen. For this he said you have to develop those qualities as
enshrined in Quran.
JB Mohammed Yousuf Kanni, Regional Organizer,
JIH Gulbarga Region, said, it is an era of spreading false teachings of Islam,
Prophet Muhammed pbuh and Islam so that doubt is created among the masses.
Under these circumstances, the cadre of Jamaat has to understand their
responsibility and remove the misconcepts in the mind of people.
A symposium on the Constitution of
Jamaat e Islami Hind was held. Which was presided by jb Liaqat Hussain Mulla,

study.
Jb S. Ameen ul Hasan, Member Central
Advisory Council, JIH spoke on “Punished people”. Speaking on the topic in the
light of Quran, he said, the people followers of the Prophets before Prophet
Ibrahim were punished for their disobediences to the Almighty even after they
were warned by their Prophets. They include the people of Nooh(a), Hood(a), Saleh(a)
and Loot(a). They were punished with natural calamities like earthquakes,
floods, rains etc.
The people of the period of Shoeb(a)
were involved corrupt practices. The Firon during the period of Moosah(a) had
become a dictator and divided the people. The people during the period of
Eisa(a) were guilty of killing their Prophets. Thus they were punished.
Speaking on the philosophy of rise
and fall of nations, he said Allah SWT likes only pious people. He makes some
nations to command over the other, he gives the administrative powers to only
those who have the ability to do so, and only those who have better morality
are preferred, the nations are tested with number of hurdles and difficulties
before they are given the power to rule. He said, the communities are judged in
this world only where individuals are judged in the hereafter.
