The quality education should develop
a child personality to the extent that it can handle the situations arising in
his life and create a sense of responsibility in him. These were the words
expressed by Dr Mohammed Muazam Ali, Member Advisory Council, JIH Gulbarga
while presiding over a Symposium on “Quality Education: Issues &
Solutions” by All India Ideal Teachers
Association Gulbarga at Faraan College on Sunday the 15th December
2013. He said, the teaching we impart to the students should make him able to
differentiate between the right & the wrong and make him stand for the
righteous cause and develop a sense of duty towards the downtrodden.
Moulvi Mohammed Fahimuddin Bidar,
Member State Advisory Council, JIH Karnataka, speaking on the occasion said,
Quality education in need of the hour. Unfortunately the students today are
becoming book worms but they are completely unaware of the love affection with
their parents & siblings. In such an atmosphere it is the duty of the teacher
to mould him with his love, affection and special care. He said in doing so a
teacher can create a good teacher, a good doctor, a good engineer, a good
administrator & so on. He accepted that there are many challenges in this
field but a good & responsible teacher should face them with great
patience, wisdom. He called upon the teachers to remove a sense of slavery
instead inculcate in them the creativeness.
Mr Mohammed Nizamuddin, State
President AIITA, called upon for proper utilization of human resources by
quality education and in this regard the government should ear mark huge
amounts.
Dr Kausar Parvbeen, renown scholar
& teacher National High School, Gulbarga said that the quality education means
the overall development of the child. She expressed anguish over the fact that
the children are so over burdened that they do not have time to play, listen to
the rhymes from their mother & moral stories from their grandmothers. In
such a situation how is it possible that a child can develop into a responsible
person she asks? Speaking on the importance of imparting education in mother
tongue she said that one can learn any language if he/she is well versed with
mother tongue. Our Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh studied in Urdu she said.
Dr Abdul Rub Ustad, professor of
Gulbarga University told to emulate the self less service rendered by senior
teachers. Mr Mohammed Farooq KES, Principal Adarsh High School, called upon the
teachers to be well versed with the latest knowledge & technology.
The program was started with Quranic
discourse from Mr Shakeel Ahmed, Secretary AIITA Gulbarga, Mr Miohammed Abdul,
Dist President AIITA Gulbarga delivered inaugural address. Mr Mohammed Javed
Iqbal convened the program. A large number of teachers including women
participated.
